sorry but I am not completly agree; catalytic converter reduces pollution 
of NOx and CO and lead was eliminated because its inhibition of
catalysis,not because its pollution; but lead is
inhibitor for aromatic polycyclics too and new added products have a not
completly investigated effects; in Italy unlead gasoline was used only when
FIAT had its copyright catalytic convert (RETROFIX).
Engine Institute of Naples (CNR) researchs about pollution in diesel engine
and its reports affirm Diesel is better . In Italy exists an expensive tax
for diesel car.
