The C.L.R. James post didn't "register" with me because Ralph didn't 
explain the context of the quote or the meaning that Ralph attributed to it.

To repeat two points I have made earlier in other posts:

1) We can not attach reasons for why list members don't respond to 
particular threads.  There may be many factors of which we as individuals 
are unaware such as agreement, time, lack of knowledge, etc.  The point 
is that we shouldn't get personally offended if out posts are unanswered 
since offense may not have been intended.

2) Dismissing individuals, groups or schools of thought in assertive and 
antagonistic ways does not further the state of discussion on the list.
