The post to which Jukka has replied again so thoughtfully, was written two days
-
an eternity - ago, and has been held up by a series of difficulties with
internet 
connections across the Atlantic.

While I would stand by the arguments, I would now  pitch it differently, because
i think 
in more recent days, people have shown a lot of forebearance and determination 
to get on with discussing the issues. 

I have changed my  server, till these internet difficulties are sorted out, so I
am not so 
out of rhythm with the list.
