Why do you want to replace 19th century materialism with an eclectic stew of
pre 19th century idealism. As to the science you mention, here we suffer
from the lack of Marxist theorticians in the physical sciences. It seems to
me that there is somewhat a retreat into agnosticism and idealism in the
name of 'modernity' and updating. This is not at all to argue against
updating but updating pre-19th century idealism and skepticism is hardly
original nor fruitful IMO.

ps. I was spit on in the South for being 'poor white trash', but I still
reject racism and racist institutions. BTW there are priests, nuns and monks
in our party and they don't have any problems for it.
