To Scott Marshall:
     What other "trends"?  The SRs won the one and only
election held after the 1917 coup.  Lenin canceled it.
Were the SRs "class enemies"?  Were the Mensheviks "class
enemies"?  This is so much hogwash and excuses.  
     It is not at all clear that if Kerensky had not been
overthrown that a reasonably progressive regime might not
have emerged.  I'll take a combo of Finland and Slovenia 
today over anything that came out of the 1917 coup d'etat
by Lenin.
