Date: Fri, 15 Dec 1995 10:08:17 -0500 (EST) From: V600A8E6-AT-ubvms.cc.buffalo.edu Subject: YOUNG LIBERAL FASCIST Lazy petty-bourgeois pseudo-intellectual (LPP): So, what's the verdict on Stalin; hero of the Soviet people, or butcher of millions? And how about Lenin? He always stayed true to his Marxist principles, especially with that highly principled NEP. Oh, I'm sorry, I must seem very ignorant to you. Please enlighten me with your vast knowledge. Answer: It is extremely intriguing that you are speaking in the manner of a fascist rather than the Young Liberals to whom you claim to belong. Or have the Liberals become so irrelevant that they have nothing else to discuss but to repeat stock anti-Communist abuse befitting the fascists who have never forgiven J.V. Stalin for organizing the victory over them. LPP: You're ducking my question. Give me some proof as to why Stalin wasn't one of the greatest butchers in history. And what about Lenin? You didn't respond to my points about his abandonment of Marxist principles. Answer: As was mentioned before, you are still speaking in the manner of a fascist rather than the Young Liberals to whom you claim to belong. One of the attributes of fascism is the use of mystification as a tool to sow confusion. Speaking as a fascist rather than a Liberal, you seem to want us to condemn J.V. Stalin as the builder of socialism and the architect of the victory over fascism. The Soviet Union was the country that heroically fought on the first front and drove the Nazis back to their lair and vanquished them. In the same breath as the slander of Stalin you condemn V.I. Lenin as not being a consistent Marxist. The onus still lies on you to explain why you, as a Young Liberal are speaking like a fascist. The onus certainly is not on us to dignify mere slanders and to comment on old calumnies that the entire world knows originate from the U.S. yellow journalism of the Hearst publishing monopoly and German fascists. You seem to be so convinced of these old fascist tales that originate before the Second World war, why do you not venture to provide some proof of them. For your information, sir, J.V. Stalin and V.I. lenin have both gone down in history as the greatest liberators of mankind. Their heroic deeds are objective and verifiable: the Soviet Union up to the death of Stalin, the victory of the Great October Revolution, the building of socialism in the 1920s and 30s (at the height of the depression) and the defeat of the Nazi aggression are testimony to their greatness and indefatigable contribution to humanity. If you took off the fascist blinkers from your eyes you would be able to see that. Just as a piece of advice to you: liberal ideology and politics have become anachronistic. LPP: I find it ironic that you call modern Liberal ideology and politics anachronistic when it was the Communist party that promised the people of Russia peace, bread and land and then promptly threw them into war, forcefully confiscated their bread, and pushed them into the gulags. Answer: This above paragraph is an indication of your lack of credibility as a liberal. Your assertions bear great similarity with fascism as all your claims are not even historical facts. The victory of the October 1917 Revolution ended the horrors of the First World War and did not begin it. There was subsequently military intervention by 14 imperialist countries, including Canada, against the young Russian Republic and not the other way round. By the time J.V. Stalin died on March 5, 1953 all the great personalities of the world, and progressive and democratic organizations hailed the Soviet Union of the time as the world centre of progressive humanity.
