Your date must not be familiar with Soviet history. She must be very 
gullible indeed to believe that capitalists and kulaks line. What about 
political opponents on the left? What about members of non-Russian 
nationalities who were victimized by the Russification campaign? What 
about all of the poor peasants killed in the collectivization drive? 
What about all of the countless innocents who ended up being shot or 
imprisoned in Gulags? Were they all capitalists and kulaks? 

Your advice to your date, however, that she should do some further 
research was sound:
