This International Conference will be held at the hall of the SUTAUR-100 union in Mexico City: Calle Sur 16 Nmero 101, Colonia Agrcola Oriental, Mxico D.F., C.P. 08500. The Conference will feature plenary sessions as well as five workshops on the following themes: 1. Analysis of the privatization of state enterprises and services, under the aegis of the IMF and World Bank and their neoliberals model. 2. The need to promote in every country the independent political action of the working class and all the oppressed. 3. The need to organize throughout the Americas the joint struggle to abrogate/rescind the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). 4. The need to create on a worldwide basis an international trade union front to contain and later defeat the political system that is promoting these neoliberals schemes. 5. Practical steps to increase international support for the embattled Ruta-100 bus drivers, who have been fighting the privatization of their bus company since last April. 6. Adoption of resolutions and an action plan, nationally and internationally, to link up workers in the fight against privatizations. (This point will be taken up at a final plenary session.)
