To Shawgi "Pro-discussion" Tell:
Let me get this right. While the USSR was gobbling up
the Baltic states and big chunks of Poland and attempting
to do so in Finland between 1939 and 1941, the problem
was the behavior of the "appeasers" of Hitler in the West?
Would Hitler have invaded Poland on September 1, 1939 without
the Molotov-von Ribbentrop Pact? Did the USSR send aid to
the British as they stood virtually alone against Hitler
during the 1940 Battle of Britain? Ah, but no, that was merely
an "interimperialistic conflict." Have I got the line right?
BTW, Shawgi, you keep talking about the "myth" of Stalin's
bad behavior. We can name lots of well known names of people
who were executed for patently ridiculous and blatantly cooked
up reasons (Bukharin, Kondratiev, shall I continue?) on Stalin's
orders. Are these myths? Again, you sound like those who claim
that the Holocaust is a "myth." I guess a "myth" is a fact that
make you uncomfortable.
