I once got a complaint from you saying "Adam the following is completely
unreadable ! Make your lines shorter."

I had a look at the text you had kindly sent me as an example of my sins.
I resized my screen, and it was, just as I had written it, perfectly 
readable.

Also, personally, I find 
lines written this
small almost as difficult to read as lines as unreasonably and quite impossibly, gratuitously useless as this one.


Perhaps if the line appended by the l*st server was made the maximum
reasonable length, we'd all have a "good line length guide" we could
visually test our posts.

eg not :

but :
------ from list marxism-AT-lists.village.virginia.edu -----------------


Say 70 chars long ? Leaving room for 5 include prompts to get to 80 chars ?
