	South Carolina has been buoyed out of hillbilliedom by German and
Japanese companies using America as a low wage alternative to domestic
production.  South Carolina has lost many, and will lose ALL of its
needlework jobs to third-world nations and Mexico.  If Buchanan's ideology
allowed him to make the first observation, he would have a hell of a case for
protectionism.
