Could we be a bit more precise about who "these people" are? According to
Chip Berlet, there are probably 40,000 actual militia members, but 5
million or so sympathizers in the "patriot" movement. Or are "these people"
the scores of millions who constitute what Bob Reich calls the "anxious
middle"?
