Louis: Today I am in the mood to agree with Ralph, especially the part 
about "topics that interest us". I want at this point, in a moment of 
good relations with Ralph, to pay homage to his continous efforts to 
provide *content* to this list.

I have never seen anybody, possibly with the exception of myself, 
contribute so many thought-provoking and informed messages on such a 
consisent basis.

If all of us simply made the effort to report on interesting books that 
we are reading, as Ralph does, the quality of this list would attain 
Olympian heights.
