His brand of anti-market right-wing rhetoric has a more Catholic/European
feel than your usual American Protestant individualist stuff.

It is odd to see Protestant fundamentalists behind Pat; those sorts of
people used to burn Irish Catholics, didn't they? I think, though, that
abortion has managed to unite the Catholics & Protestants.
