To a worker who can't hang with academics or soak up student radicalism in person, it's a light of ideas, support, information and community at the end of the day . I feel I know so many of you and therefore I feel a little guilty for not letting you know me. I do plan to get more involved and contribute thoughtful posts. Many thanks to the people who do good work on this l*st. Please keep it up. Don't let the "wars" deter you. If you get fed up and take your discussion elsewhere, please let me know <<Eliza Chin up there Eliza. If I have to bring home a welding jacket for the flames and rubber boots for the muck, I will do it for a while longer. This l*st is a find, and I think it will stay that way, if everyone can take a deep breath and walk away before flaming . If you have ever worked with an acetylene torch, you know that it does cut metal, but the edges are rough and the main output is puddles of slag that have to be scraped up and thrown out. Here we have no janitors to clean up messes, we have to do it ourselves. Lets try to work with the proper tip and keep the cut straight. Best, Jon Flanders E-mail from: Jonathan E.
