Subject: Re: Tax, social wage

On the subject of the "social wage" , I believe a distinction
should be made between "productive consumption" and the rest
( "unproductive consumption" ).

If a building worker breaks his arm, and goes to hospital to
get it fixed, I believe the resources used in putting his arm
back together is "productive consumption". On the other hand,
replacing old age pensioners' hips is not productive, but is
part of the social wage.
