Subject: Adam Smith and the Corporation

I recently came across a reference to Adam Smiths "opposition"
to the corporation( or the anonymous society as it was called at the time)
Is this correct and what were his reasons? Does he give any analyses or
justification in Wealth of Nations? If this is true I suspect that since
he is used to justify much of Capitalisms program, and that since capitalism
has changed so much since his time, perhaps he could also be used to
criticise the program of the modern corporation(since he did not support
their existence(or did he?)). Any references of thoughts on this question
would be greatly appreciated

	        	thanx -tlmkr
