They are such idealists that they are out to wrench any 'anti-Marxist' ideas from the name of Marxism. Any where in public that any liberalism and revisionism (which undoubtedly exist on this list) are associated with the Holy Tenets must be resoultely wiped out. This is their profoundly idealist method (which is the basis of Maoism). The insistence of Adolfo that some people who leave the list do just that and call the new list 'anti-Marxism', 'Proyectism', 'revisionism' et cetera. This is their agenda - it is profoundly sectarian. If they are correct in their world outlook, as they seem to think they are, then they should adopt a much more mature outlook to the 42 varieties of revisionism and liberalism that inevitably appear on a list like this. Instead they see spies everywhere, agents of the FBI, 'fascists' and other such nonsense. I give unconditional support to the revolutionary war in Peru - this is my first post on this matter. In the same way, I give unconditional support to the armed struggle in Ireland of the IRA and INLA. Yet, I maintain the revolutionary perspective of criticising their program. I have not read the PCP program, so have been hesistant to make any public statements, but if it is based on Maoism, I am opposed to it. The Maoists will now accuse me of Trotskyism - anyone who knows my posts knows I am certainly no Trot. This takes me back to a theme I have written briefly in the past on the degeneration of genuine marxism that has developed the two bastard offspring of 'stalinism' (maoism is an idealist variety) and 'trotskyism'. My thesis is that these two strands need each other to survive - although, trotskyism needs stalinism more and will create it wherever it doesn't exist. Yet stalinism in some of its forms, will create its own phantoms to survive. We are witnessing this at the moment. HOW TO DEAL WITH SUCH DEGENERATION I am sure that I am a now an enemy of the revolution. But what this list provides is a profoundly petit bourgeois environment. It can not, at the moment, be anything else. I hardly think that the Peruvian peasantry are pouring over our debates on their laptops in the Andes. I have never approached this list as anything than an airing cupboard of left ideas influenced by marxism. It is nothing more than this - it is this that the Maoists do not realise. This list is irrelevant to the general outcome of world history. It cannot test anything in practice, it contains no discipline, it is less organised than the ISO/SWP - anarchist organisations manage better concrete organisation. Yet the maoists will now say that in practice I have proven myself as against the revolution by this post. OUR OPTIONS 1. A NEW FANGLED MODERATED LIST I am against this. I think that we just need to learn to deal with disruptive elements 2. WE ALL JUST UNSUBSCRIBE FOR A WHILE Well I am doing this anyway because I lose my e mail account in a couple of weeks and don't know when I will have a new one. 3. JUST KEEP POSTING ON INTERESTING ISSUES AND IGNORE THE FAFF This is the best option. Stop the liberal bollocks, stop worrying about the Maoists. It takes two to tango (or foxTROT). Again. This is an interesting list. Any revolutionaries who see it as the be all and end all of communist polemic need to get out more. Any Maoists who see it as their HOLY MISSION to remove the profane from discussing the holy, you are not marxists, but the worst cultists and sectarians. Stick to blowing the fuck out of Fujimoro - I support your actions in this regard, but get a life when it comes to this list. To be perfectly honest. A fully active revolutionary wouldn't have time to post on this list in the first place, let alone write all this bollocks... Marcus --- from list marxism-AT-lists.village.virginia.edu ---
