Adolfo, my friend;
I am in general agreement with your post. I think we have
vindicated the revolutionary essence of marxism which should have been at
the core of this list from the beginning. The dust is beginning to settle;
only Henwood, with his ridiculous, misogonyst postings on the gender of
"hariette", etc. are still in the air. He will go away eventually.
I agree it is time to work toward improving the list as a
forum where people can discuss Marxism without the fear of censorshiop or
expulsion. It is incumbent upon us to maintain a proletarian position of
encouraging open discussion on any topic without fear or favor. I would
also like to see more on marxist proletarian feminism, the struggle for the
rights of gays, lesbians, and bisexuals, more marxist critiques of
"post-modernism," and, above all, the role of revolution in the 21st century.
I think these are goals that all people of good will can support. Others
will have their own preferences, which will add to and enrich the mix.
Do you have any contact with LAB? I haven't received the March issue of EDI.
Did you ever send those cards?
Louis Godena
