Well, that's why we have to work for truly independent workers' political
action. But for now, the immediate task has to be defeating the Republicans.

Of course, they don't stand for workers' interests, they are two arms of the
same party of capitalism. But what I and the Party are advocating isn't
support for the Democrats, it's opposition to the Republicans. And if the
Democratic candidate is unacceptable, or if running an independent will help
defeat the Republicans, we will do so.

Well, of course it is, however ultraleftism at times serves no useful
purpose. This is one of those times. It is a life and death issue to
millions of people and no amount of rhetoric about the CPUSA's
"capitulation" is going to change that. Of course I encourage everyone to
protest to the White House against the government's unjust, unfair,
anti-people, imperialist actions toward socialist Cuba. This is one of
Clinton's weakest areas and why it is so hard to take a line to defeat the
republicans. Clinton is horrible on this issue and most others, however
we've got to get rid of the congressional Republicans. It is a necessity,
perhaps a necessayr evil, but a necessary one nevertheless. Comradely, Charlotte
