  I may have over-generalized a little here. I was reacting to your "lets not
give an inch to anti-technology greens" statement.

  I do think that since no one can think of everything, marxism has something
to learn from "greens." In a sense, Stalinism substituted production for
profit, without considering the impact on the environment.

  Of course, when apologists for capitalism hem and haw about pollution in
Eastern Europe and Russia, they conveniently forget the shift of polluting
industries to  third world countries like Mexico and Brazil by all the major
transnational corporations.
