Question from an ignoramus:

Is this the *French* André Gorz who wrote in Socialist
Register in January *1968*:

  "in the foreseeable future there will be no crisis
  of European capitalism so dramatic as to drive the
  mass of workers to revolutionary general strikes
  or armed insurrections in support of their vital
  interests"

and who later wrote a book called something like
"Farewell to the Proletariat" (I only know it's
Danish title) where he argued theoretically for
an analysis to support the above quote?
