Subject: chernobyl: what did it mean?


i'm writing a creative/research oriented thesis on chernobyl. i'm 
attempting to cover every aspect of it's effects on humanity and nature. 
mainly i want to discover how the historical event existed in our 
consciousness in 1986, how it's position has changed since then, and why.

if anyone has any thoughts on how chernobyl affected the structure of the 
soviet union (or reflected the society), or knows of any books or 
articles addressing chernobyl (i've found a bunch, but need more), please
