		Rahul,

Clearly you have run off the tracks of reason. Our Turkish comrade
has seen fit to reply in a very informative and interesting way. Had I known
about the Kurdish smuggling he spoke of, I might have used that instead of
opium. I am fairly sure that Zeynep has heard of opium growing in Turkey. I
also feel certain that he knows I was not accusing or admonishing Turks or
Peruvians about any involvement in the drug trade. Maybe opium no longer
grows in Turkey? I don't know and it doesn't matter. The point is it did,
and I thought Zeynep might have had some opinion about it.

Again and for the last time, when I said that one of Mexico's
"exports" was illegal aliens, well, first I was talking metaphorically (I am
quite aware of Mexico's many actual exports) and second I was talking about
the "contribution" of Mexico's ruling class to its economy - oppression,
crushing poverty, and corruption - that cause Mexico to be a source of
drugs and a crossing point for illegals. It was clear then, as it is
clear now, that I did not slight the Mexican people, only their internal
oppressors.

I cannot understand why it is that you think I was being
"insensitive". Do you, for a moment, that Mexicans don't know about
drugs and illegal aliens. Do you think they would disagree with me as to
the cause of the problem?

	peace
