I agree with the thrust of Hans Ehrbar's comments. A third marxism
thingy is a further resource. It needs to develop its own culture,
which should be respected. With that proviso, cross fertilisation
will be mutually beneficial.

I think that is in conformity with Spoons pluralist policy.
I would welcome if Hans can negotiate some basis whereby its
archives can be made more readily available.

One other thought: whether Spoons would facilitate an umbrella for
the moderators of M1 M2, ME archives, and soc.politics.marxism
to be in periodic communication, not of course that there is anything
to stop them anyway.

Hans, you may get no more feedback to your proposal than this,
in my experience of the l'st. Possibly because people save
their posts for things that seem more controversial, so
medium grade good ideas, do not appear to get much support.
(Yet it is the medium grade good ideas that are often the
ones that are more possible, and multiplied two or three times
per year, add up to significant progress.)

Unless you get any compelling post
against, I suggest if you have conviction for the merits of the idea,
you treat this as a positive vote on the passion-flak index and
go ahead with trying to implement it.

London
