This is a load of cobblers.

If there's a maxim I try to adhere to in discussions it's this:

        Don't overestimate the knowledge of the people you're talking to.

        Don't underestimate their intelligence.

I try and make it clear where I stand and what I'm talking about. This
often involves stating basic principles. These are by no means as well
rooted in people's minds or practice as they might seem. Certain
fundamentals concerning the character of a party in particular need to be
emphasized over and over again because of the lack of agreement concerning
them.

As for 'never tries to tell us anything new', I'd like Carrol or his
stand-in to substantiate this a bit better.

If everything I've posted has been a case of 'seen it, heard it, done it'
for everyone on the list -- well, don't we have the most amazing set of
Marxist revolutionary luminaries here!

And in that case, where's the revolution?
