these references are both English...but I thought interesting in light 
of your query..."History, Philosophy, and Culture in the Young Gramsci", 
translated and edited by Cavalcanti & Piccone (Telos/1975) cites 
24 November 1917..."Pre-Prison Writings", translated by Cox and edited 
by Bellamy (Cambridge Texts in the History of Social Thought/1994) 
indicates 24 December 1917...Michael
