Subject:  Where is the ex-MLP going??


                Shady Methods of  neo-maoite Joseph/CVO:
          Throw enough crap around--maybe a little will stick!

In Part 1, we dealt with how Joseph is TODAY still backing  exploiter
led movements suited to another era of capitalism but clearly 
reactionary today. Further we showed that Joseph CVO has NO 
independent theory of their own on world capitalism today and is left 
to shop-lift fragments from other trends and claim them his own.
Then, like a  political parasite, he slanders those trends.

In Part 2 here we shall deal with the unprincipled basis and methods of 
Joseph/CVO and his views on some more specific issues.
                   
                     On Ireland

In Det#116,Concerning the struggle in Ireland and the IRA, Joseph 
attacks the zany & paranoid views of the ICC group but admits the 
Communist Workers Organization/UK correctly denounces them too.
Then Joseph denies the fact that US imperilism has its own interests
in Ireland and has been trying to woo sections of the IRA to gain
more leverage against the British.
But like on many other issues, Joseph/CVO NEVER puts forward his own 
clear analysis! But from some ancillary remarks , we glean Joseph thinks
the IRA programme , being bourgeois nationalist, is worthy of 
some support from him.

            Joseph/CVO  On ex-Yugoslavia

His analysis on ex-Yugoslavia here  is one sentence snide remark about 
my article in CWVTJ#8. Such profundity from Joseph.
In spite of the fact that he does not work and has plenty of time,
he has not written much on exYugoslavia either. He did write 
a rather agnostic article in the ex/Workers Advocate in 1992 and we 
will try to get a hold of it and comment more thoroughly on it in the
future.
But other tidbits of HIS "wisdom' Joseph has mumbled on ex-yugo  also
expose his  confusions. Sarah, of CWVTJ, though also still a nat-lib 
supporter ,called  Joseph out in CWVTJ#10, (pg 17-8) for his knee-jerk 
calls for the mirage of self-determination pointing out correctly that 
the Croatian bourgeois , agitating for "self-determination" ,employed
a racist and demagogic programme, promoting the old fascist Croatian 
nationalist Ustashe pro-nazis and its bourgeois nationalist "solution",
slaughering Serbs and Muslims alike--and then again tried in a limited 
way ,to carry out ethnic cleansings, backed up by  Germany and the US. 
Josephs calls for separation here only add grist to the mill for 
reaction, typical of much of his tailing of nationalist groups over
his career.

 In Det#116 Joseph Continues his desparadoes methods of putting  words 
in my mouth. This is a habit all corrupt caudillos use because thay get 
so used to power and dictating, they figure no one will call them on it.
           
             On Pol Pot, Joseph  lies like George Bush
    Was he really locked in the Bathroom? C'mon, Joseph, for 8 years??        

Joseph now resorts to subterfuge on his promotion and apologetics on
Pol Pot in Kampuchea/cambodia.First He implies we can never be sure the
ex/MLP/joseph backed Pol Pot. But get this,then  he implies, since I
never denounced it in writing then, then I must bear a part of the 
guilt because I acted as a "good german". Besides being a slander of
all the anti-nazi Germans who perished by the hands/guns of the Nazis, 
Joseph is unwittingly admitting FINALLY, that well yes, we did back Pol
Pot for a long time.
And by parity of reasoning in Joseph's analogy, if I, as a MLP 
sympathizer was a "good german" then-for going along with Joseph's 
leadership, Then what would that make Joseph? None other than the arch
criminal fuhrer himself-- today typically in his bunker ranting & 
blaming all others for his crimes!

With his analogy to horse racing and political bets ,I admit I make errors.
I make losing bets sometimes but from Joseph's track record the worst
bet i ever made was the one I put down on Joseph Green and his 
neo-maoism thinking it could compete in the  workers revolutionary
derby. J.Gs performance puts him out of the running, distanced,
and  disqualified for impersonating a thoroughbread marxist horse! 

As for exposing Joseph's near 20 year dedicated support to state capitalism
and Albania .We did wake up on this years ago and we put down our views,
incomplete ones admittedly, forward on this. Carl even left the Party
for a year and a half and joseph knew via word of mouth that he could
not stomach J.G.s uncritical support of state capitalist Albania. I put
anti- state cap views down in wrinting to the Oakland Branch in 1986-7. 
Our helter skelter methods of putting forward our views were limited
by the strictures for criticism in the old party and the fact that both
of us were  mere sympathizers then--or "good germans" as Joseph  
now slanderously calls us!. 

Joseph says he never completed a critique of the state-cap nature of 
Albania. I would say a more truthful description is that Joseph never
started one and never will because like nailing Pol Pot and Albanian
stalinism, a serious critique  would nail the leader for life joseph/CVO and
he will not willingly let that happen.
            
             Joseph/CVO orders a final charge against Marxism!
         All his  guns filled  with "anti revisionist" blanks! 

In closing, Joseph  claims quite doltishly that I am an apologist 
for Cuban state capitalist regime.I strongly disagree with Chicago
soft-peddling serious criticism of Cuba. Again as a left-communist for 
the past year and even before I became one,  ex-comrades and other 
workers and activists know all of us in LAWV have repudiated 
stalinism/josephism/CVO-Det and the other pro- state  capitalist trends.

I have reprinted , distribute and support the views of the communist
-left CWO in Workers Voice/UK on this issue and a gamut of others and 
i would be happy to send folks copies of our exposure of cuban state 
capitalism. By the way , where is Josephs/CVO critique of the Cuban
(or Albanian) state-cap  economic base, laws of motion, etc?
Don't hold your breath waiting, he just ended his tryst with Pol Pot!
Or has he?

The Communist left- CWO has very good ones on Cuba, China, etc while 
explaining why the US Clinton regime now is stepping up its vicious  
imperialist blockade of Cuba. Also exposes the manuvers of the other
imperialist powers and why workers should support class struggles,
not bourgeois nationalists and democrats.
