It was a list inside joke. Sorry. Lou Proyect, a long-time list member
you'll be running across shortly, has also made it his personal mission to
ridicule absurd four-person "vanguard of the vanguard" sects which have as
much connection to real politics as Masterpiece Theatre does to real
culture. Your style is also a bit like his, although more understated. Not
that I actually thought you were a pseudonym.

Opinions differ widely on how to judge him. He's been called everything
>from a Stalinist to a bourgeois liberal to a new fascist. Judge for
yourself, but, in my book, he's one of the good guys.
