Subject: communists on the lists-methods of work


Dear Louis,


As concerns the verbal brawlers degrading & bebasing this M1 list. I admit my
hands are not clean here  on a few  of my postings and i would, in retrospect,
take the adjectives I  employed  back. Even some of the
adjectives i used on you, usually however in self-defense.

But to put it mildly, your hands  are hardly clean either in the verbal rumble
in the parking lot after school/work approach. 

But  i admit you have written some serious defenses of your milieu's  politics
upholding Cuba  as socialist and not state capitalist (my position) &  also some
of your other material on latin america needs to be thrashed out,  studied  and
debated in a serious manner. This i hope to  tackle in a more serious way soon
though I have other committments, I do want to get around to this in a more
thorough way  in the near future.

Mind you - even  though we differ on many  issues,  I  do think vicious
bully/boy US imperialist embargoes/sabotoge of  working  peoples of small
nations (a la Cuba)  should be openly  denounced and  actively opposed. I am not
the sectarain you have claimed i am, i work and have worked with others, some
with politics similar to yours to build united mass actions on certain workers
class  struggles (like fighting the anti-immigrant attacks, health cuts/layoffs
, etc. here in LA).
When the mass movements were growing back in the  late 60s & 70s, we even had
good well attended public debates on key struggles too. Those were no  halcyon
days!

I am no spokesman for  the  others that you complain about, i only download
about  approx. 40% of the stuff
of the people you named and yes, even thismuch can get expensive given their
volume!

But i think unmoderated open court marx- lists is the principled  way to go! You
can always delete the crappiola  that is not serious or worth reading. I really
worry more about the censorship factor not only for myself but for others.
I have no wish to see your material list-censored either even when your blows
come my way..

We have to drop this egomania stuff like, some of the character armour problem
that even Wilhelm Reich
dealt with. E.g., If my politics become outmoded or bankrupt and i can see
exposure of this helps the workers cause to bring clarity and purpose to their
needed organized fight against this vicious capitalist offensive, i
will fess up  and admit when i  am on a wrong path. Believe it!

I want to see a revival of real workers communism in this land (and others). The
workers struggle will not advance very far without it.
