Karl Carlile is confusing Hegelian views with Engels's when he asserted that Engels believed in God. NEIL: Karl C. I think is distorting materialist dialectics and turning it back to Hegelian dialectics which is transcendental! KARL CARLILE: Dialectical materialism is a vulgar form of Hegeianism. KARL CARLILE: Dialectical materialism is an idealist dialectics. The materialist conception of history to which I subscribe is a materialist dialectics. NEIL: Engels dealt with immanent laws of evolution which are natural. These laws were based on material processes in nature. These laws are not laws that are OUTSIDE or BEYOND nature but INSIDE nature. KARL: There has been no scientific evidence to prove the above thesis. Scientific development has never employed dialectical materialism nor used it as a scientific theory. If you say these laws are inside nature then one might as easily argue that pantheism equally claims that god is inside nature in the sense that nature for certain forms of pantheism is god.
