Subject: Imperialist rivalry and scenarios... China

Dear Robert,

an older friend told me a nice story.
In the 50th he was asked (with pathetic):
If the great Red Army is attacked from the West,
would you take your rifle and defend the SU?!
(We love such questions!).
His answer: if it is necessary for the great Red Army
that he has to defend the SU, that's no good sign...
and the battle will be lost.

(It was an other story in Spain, but this was another time
and situation!)

I think, the Chinese doesn't attack Taiwan to make war,
and so we need not to defend China. What it is necessary, is
to explain history and relation of Taiwan and China, and the
new ,democracy" (also in Hongkong).
Nice is the comparison with FRG and GDR.
Maybe Taiwan will go the way of GDR? History in another way?
That will be marvelous; sorry not realistic.

comradely - Wolfgang
