Subject: France's Hot December - introduction

Chris Harman has written an article in our quarterly journal, the ISJ,
looking at the strikes in France at the end of last year.

I found it interesting, so I shall summarise it over a number of posts
( unless anyone seriously objects ).

The basic structure of the article is as follows :

Intro
Causes
European Capitalism in General, French in particular
Juppe's tactics, as compared to Thatcher
Worker's Reaction
Mass Strikes
	Rosa Luxembourg
		1905
	Bureaucratic Mass Strikes
		Belgium, Britain 1926,
		Denmark 1985
French Events
Which sort of mass strike ?
Union Leaders apply brakes
	Private Sector
	Students
	Strike winds down
Aftermath + Prospects
