Subject: waiting for Godel


Barkley, I'm interested in "self-referencing" - could you say a bit 
more?  Does it implicate the re-iteration that I see in Escher and Bach 
[I don't know Godel].  Makes me think about "chaos" math models.

Of course, the fact that some work in different fields and media may 
have some parallels means nothing relevant that I can think of.  Not 
relevant to artificail intelligence or the methods of science, etc.  
While I'm thinking of parallels, how about reflexivity itself?  Or 
consciousness - being aware of being aware of being aware...
