     Some on this list may find it of interest that when
this Sokal business first blew up and Fish responded to him
in the NYTimes, there was a major drive on the AustrianECON
net to have a write-in support campaign for Sokal, on the
grounds that he had once for all exposed the wrongness of all
this leftist Marxist post-modernism.  This quieted down when
somebody pointed out that Sokal himself claimed to be a leftist.
