The questions that were asked were too general and too many. Unless you
can specify questions more precisely, it is unreasonable to expect
listmembers to give anything other than book references (or, worse:
assertions).

BTW, contra your above comments, you can question people regarding a book
and ask follow-up questions even if the author is not a listmember. If,
however, you want us to write answers to questions that deserve a
book-length response and to then communicate interactively with each other
about our posts/books, then I think you expect too much from this medium.
Exchanges on Net mailing lists are not and can not be a substitute for
reading important primary and secondary sources.
