The main reference I had in mind regarding dialectics and mathematical logic is the following: Vardy, Peter. "On the Dialectics of Metamathematics", GRADUATE FACULTY PHILOSOPHY JOURNAL [New School for Social Research], vol. 17, nos. 1-2, 1994, pp. 191-216. Translated by Marcus Brainard. This article originally appeared as "Zur Dialektik der Metamathematik", in: Michael John Petry, ed., HEGEL UND DIE NATURWISSENSCHAFTEN (Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt: Frommann-Kolzboog, 1987), pp. 205-240. Vardy's approach is congruent with the same sort of questions I have been asking for years. It begins with the problem of self-reference and gets to the very nature of formalization. This is a much more interesting approach to issues of dialectics in logic than the rubbish that usually gets discussed. --- from list marxism2-AT-lists.village.virginia.edu ---
