Subject: Intermediate summary



In the last two days the spoon collective has received a number of
requests for and proposals of marxism-related lists, with the topics

marxism and aesthetics
marxism versus postmodernism
short term lists for discussing particular articles in the journals
marxism and mental health/psychiatric nursing
marxism and the organization of work
marxism and culture
marxism in the transnational era
marxism and modernity

This is only an informal preview giving you the flavor of the proposals
coming in; we haven't, at present, received enough detail to know
whether all these lists will be created, or what their admission /
moderation policy will be.

Please indicate whether you are willing to moderate the lists which
you are proposing or whether you know someone who might.  Moderation
implies that you are willing to spend time defining the ground rules
of the list and following the discussion on the list and giving it
impulses if needed.  We are trying to make it such that your
technical/administrative work will be minimized, so that you can
concentrate on the content of your moderation work.  A request for
a list without someone behind it who is willing to moderate it will
have a far lower chance of realization.

Also please indicate if you are interested in cooperating with others
that may be making proposals about similar topics than yours.
Then we will put you in touch with each other.
