I am sorrier than I can say to hear this. I never met Lisa, but I like to
think that she was my friend. She was really the exemplar of what a
Marxist should be: resolute in her commitment to socialist values, dynamic
as an activist--certainly in monitoring and moderating this list, deeply
critical in her thinking, never willing to tolerate shoddy thinking or
rudeness among comrades, widely interested and knowledgeable. I had looked
for great things for her, and now we shall not get them. So we must
cherish what she was able to give us and carry on in the way that she
would have liked. Lisa, you will be missed and you will not be forgotten.
