Doug,

the point is to have theory and practice consistency, poor theory leads
to bad practice. The ideas is to overcome a seperation between theory and
practice (which requires a realist critria of course), but not by
negating theory itself.

The theoritical work in marxism is by no means complete, when we begin to
believe this, this is were practice will always be out of phase with good
theory (there are many many examples).

We need people doing theorical work, and i believe it wrong to claim this
is not marxist.

The problem is there is a distinction between theory and practice, in a
very real sense. We cannot overcome the distinction, but we can attempt
to make them consistent.
