I'd like to have a person like that as a friend!

It says a hell of a lot -- that is *good* -- about Sraffa. Even if we have
to bear the Stalinism in mind as perhaps the most important factor in
evaluating the limits of his contribution as a whole, he still demonstrated
solidarity and a commitment to struggle against fascism.
