There is a series on the philosophy of technology published by
Northwestern. Among the titles are Michael Zimmerman's _Heidegger's
Confrontation with Modernity_ which includes some good info for
contextualizing Heidegger's work on tech/identity in the atmosphere
of Weimar Germany and beyond (a period crucial for understanding the
relationship of technology and culture. This book is excellent.
Also in the series is Don Idhe's _Technology and the Lifeworld_, a
book I have not read yet, but which I understand to be an excellent
phenomenology of technology.

Hope this helps,
