Thank you to everyone who responded to my questions about biography,
technology and social history. I apologize for not writing a detailed
response to everyone individually, but I'm afraid that I won't have much
to say until I read everything. In the meantime, I have been reading some
summaries of the postmoderism discussions, and I fear that I have
accidentally become a post modernist, at least in terms of explaining the
social construction of identity. So now I have to figure out how to put
that into my dissertation without scaring off my committee. Hopefully some
of the works you have suggested will give my argument some backbone.
