Dear "modernists",

I'm considering planning a course in British literature (university level)
comparing the literature of the fin-de-siècle (Wilde, Yeats, Pater, and..?,
i.e. the revolt against nature, purity of art, the artist-hero, symbolism,
etc.) with contemporary British literature at the Millennium (ecology? art
as kitsch? artist-anti-hero? metafiction? etc.) I would appreciate all
ideas, suggestions for texts, writers, philosophers, theorists, remarks,
etc. on this. Are there any links between the two transitional periods at
all, or do they differ widely?
Thanking you all in advance.
Best,
IK,
