What I find of interest is that, whereas the genealogy of post-modernism is
worn  on its lapel, as it were, that of modernism/s - its origins,
forebears, descent - is contrary and confused; some stretch it back to the
Classical Period, some only to the Industrial Revolution. Post-modernisms,
how ever you go at them, are parasitical on Modernity. To that extent one
may not be able to make it a discussion of equals, but rather of one -
postmodernisms here - either subsisting in or dependant on the other - how
one could go about this discussion, if the above's a fair take on the
matter, I can't imagine...
