To make a long story short, I am using Shaw as a figure in my study. Although I have run across articles arguing his literary "avant-gard-ness" and his place in modern theater, he seems to be situated in an very uneasy place in modernism. Where exactly would G.B. Shaw fall in the modernism? Personally I would place him as more of a "proto-Modernist" or a very late-Victorian, but it is hard to gauge to what extent I can argue his place in this culture. Any words on this would be extremely illuminating. Thanks, RS DOIT certifies this message is virus free. If a virus was removed the sender will be automatically notified.
