Regarding the question about Dostoevski and Nietzsche, see Michael
Gillespie's new book _Nihilism Before Nietzsche_ (U. of Chicago Press,
1995), especially note 20 from chapter 6 (page 178).  Gillespie cites
several scholars who have addressed the issue, including Elizabeth Kuhn,
Curt Paul Janz, C.A. Miller, and Wolfgang M"uller-Lauter.  He also refers
to a number of places in Nietzsche's own works.  If you can't get the book
yet, send me email and I can provide all of these references.
