There was a disturbing modernism (and Heideggerianism) in my post?  Egad!!!
But you are quite right; I shouldn't have couched the death of God in those
terms.  It shouldn't be seen as an event at a particular point in time -- even
if Nietzsche sometimes presents it that way he normally repudiates such a 
reading later on.

Like I said in a later post, the death of God should probably be treated as an
'untimely' event, which makes it not really an event at all.  I haven't quite
figured out what more I want to say about the death of God as something alwasy
untimely, but perhaps someone else will step in at this point.
