Now that I've gotten your attention, Pagasus Mail users, let me 

explain why I am so desperately trying to get your attention.


But first: If you use Pegasus Mail to read your e-mail,

DO NOT READ the recent posting to nietzsche-AT-lists.village.virginia.edu,

"Ubermensche" by Justin Kennedy

of Sat, 11 Feb 1995 10:23:05 GMT0BST. Please try to control yourselves,

I will remail a safe version of it to the list shortly with the title

"Overmen/Ubermensche".


The thing is, that if Pegasus Mail users read this "Ubermensche" posting

by Justin Kennedy, the list will be cluttered with automatic receipt

confirmatoin messages. Not that they would take that much space in your

mailboxes, but they could be annoying and confusing to some, as experience

on other lists has shown.


Now, remember: 1) this matter concerns only Pegasus Mail users, at least

only they can influence what will hapen. And 2), even Pegasus Mail users

will not loose anything, since I will remail a safe version of the original

positing to the list. And perhaps most importantly, even if Pegasus Mail

users fail to notice this request, the things that will happen will be

merely annoying, nothing awful.


For the future, Pegasus Mail users should *always* remember *never* to

request confirmation of reading in mailing list mail.
