Well, they just released the first volume in the English translation of 
the Montinari edition Nietzsche's works (Untimely Meditations). Although 
the series isn't due to be completed until well into the 21st century, 
this is obviously a project to supplant the Kaufman translations. If 
nothing else it will make a lot of material available in English that 
wasn't available before. And best of all, you'll be spared Kaufman's 
footnotes. :^)
